چکیده
This study aims to analyze the water quality of Barumun river in Pinang City based on criteria and formulate a pollution control strategy that needs be implemented. The method used is descriptive quantitative by analyzing status index. results showed PI value ranged from 0.82 1.71. recommended strategies are: 1) maintaining border protection zones involving environmental cadres green communities monitoring; 2) supervision along river; 3) improving monitoring wastewater discharge into rivers; 4) granting disposal permit (IPLC) must pay attention condition capacity river's load enforce laws against business actors who violate established standards. In conclusion, River Kota has decreased quality, with being lightly polluted. recommendations for need implemented are progressive strategies.
